This, too, shall pass

It’s been a while since I last wrote… 

I have tried, so many times, but words simply fail me. The loss of our third child, a sweet baby boy, has absolutely gutted my emotions; but, I have come to accept that his story is one I will just need to hold, quietly, in my heart given that Kieran needs 100% from us right now.

With that said, I share news of this being my last post, for the foreseeable future, to “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Thaddeus.” 

While this decision did not come easy, it was made with nothing less than careful and thoughtful deliberation about what’s best for the Barrett household, at this juncture.

I’ve taken great pride and comfort in being able to write openly using this platform as a means of “therapy” amidst the journey; however, our family is in need of privacy as we navigate the road which lies ahead. 

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you — profoundly — for having taken the time to read each entry thus far, and staying with us through the ups and downs of our adventure. As we move forward and reinvent optimization of the care plan for Kieran and our family, we are beyond appreciation for your continued prayers and well wishes.
